Hipster Hell

On the several occasions that I have been to the Pilot Light the shows have never started remotely close to the advertised time, service was poor at best, however the PBR was cold, so that was redeeming factor.
- Pros: Not many, unless you are trying to make the "scene"
- Cons: Pretentious hipsters abound here

Go for the show, not the drinks

It's a great small venue, and there are alot of good bands that play there. It's booked by AC Entertainment, who also books shows at The Orange Peel Social Club in Asheville. Don't, however, expect the service to be great. There's only one little bar near the back, and no servers. It's a music venue, nothing more.

It's about time...

Somebody finally opened a club with eclectic, creative music bookings, good beer, and an atmosphere that provides this town with a real frat-bar alternative. Great management -- Jason, who books the music, is especially cool -- and great tunes. Also, Jason's wife, Rachel, is an incredible artist and Check it out!
