Best OBGYN in Knoxville. I moved to Knoxville with my husband and kids approximately 12 months a go. After doing some research online, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Walker. I was diagnosed with endometriosis a few months before my second child was born. I was told by my previous OBGYN that I was never going to be able to have kids again. I guess, he was wrong. Anyway, Dr. Walker reviewed my records and recommended some medical therapy.

I was very impressed with her from the moment we met. I was able to tell right of way how knowledgeable she was. When she was talking to me, I was not sure if she was reading from a textbook. She has an excellent understanding of her area of expertise. She knew the latest research and medical therapy. I concluded that she probably has photographic memory.…

Worst experience I have ever had!!!. I was pregnant and looking for a ob, I found Dr Walker on my insurance web site. My very first visit I had to wait an hour to see the doctor then another 45 mins to get an ultrasound. After the ultrasound I was to see Dr Walker again, but the staff informed me that she had gone to the hospital, I ended my visit seeing a NP. From the time I walked into the office I did not feel welcome, the staff was rude and acted as though they had better places to be. While waiting for my appointment the doctor came up to the front area several times and just chatted and used the computer. I also found it very unprofessional that she would yell down the hall for nurses, and gave another patient test results in the back waiting room, where there were several people waiting. The check out woman could not answer any questions and stopped helping me to answer her cell phone. I was also alarmed when I called back several days later to inquire about payment and so forth that the billing lady sounded like she knew less than I did. Overall, the only good things I can say about the office is the ultrasound lady and the NP, April, I saw were great. Needless to say, I am going to go elsewhere for the rest of my pregnancy.…

Great Ob. I received better care under Dr.Walker than I ever imagined.. In the beginning of my experience at this dr's office, I thought I was being overlooked. During my pregnancy Dr.Walker hired 2 nurse practitioners which are both FABULOUS, to help with her overwhelming amount of patients. The reason the wait used to be so long was because she had developed such a good reputation that many wanted her care and attention. The staff is so caring and does everything they can to accomodate scheduling and answer any questions you may have. (pregnant women ALWAYS have questions!) If something is wrong and Dr.Walker feels you may need a second opinion, she will not hesitate to send you to a specialist (unlike some drs who are too prideful). I have been high risk the entire pregnancy and have been kept on a VERY close watch,especially here at the end. I absolutely LOVE Betsy (the nurse practioner who also sees patients), along with Denise (the best nurse in the world) and Holly. This practice genuinely cares about your well being and does everything they can to give you the best care during your pregnancy and post-partum.…
