Pizza and Salads. In spite of a lot of competition from other pizza places, we think Gondolier is consistently the best with variety of sizes (including "personal" size), variety of toppings, and different "standard" arrangements. And they have anchovies! Pizza is a very "personal" food; everyone has an opinion as to what is best and what is not. We think Gondolier has the best in Knoxville. Pasta dishes come in a variety. Salads are fresh and varied. Their well-constructed "subs" have good solid bread - not weak-kneed, wimpy bread that turns to mush. In short, a very wide variety of Italian style food, with a little Greek thrown in. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. Lastly, the prices are reasonable. Very nice. Hard to beat.
