Tips for Jim Phibbs Auto Service

Can't trust him. Ripped us off BIG
TIME.
Phibbs told us he installed a factory rebuilt engine in a Honda. The engine has not lasted very well.
Other mechanics just recently told us the engine block had markings like it had been bought from a junkyard.
Folksy personality but incredibly dishonest man.

WOW. I am so impressed with the wonderful service and value at Jim Phibbs. As a 23 year old girl who knows hardly anything about cars, I usually feel vulnerable going in to any car repair shop. Both of the times I have been to Jim Phibbs, I have been so impressed by their excellent service, value, and their honesty. So much so that I went through the hassle of creating this Citysearch account to write them a great review!

honest work, fair price, sincere service. I have taken my vehicles here and Mr. Phibbs will repair only what is needed, at a fair price. My elderly parents took their car in recently. My dad told them both CV joints needed replacing. After car repaired, Mr. Phibbs explained that only one needed to be replaced and the other was fine. Many shops would've taken advantage of an elderly couple but Phibbs is an honest, upstanding, family run repair shop. I have used them twice since then and am very happy with their work and honesty!

Exceptional.
After getting screwed over at Firestone, I took my car to Jim Phibb's to have a gasket set replaced. Phibb's did the work for less than what they had quoted it as. Even more over, they did the work for $100 less than Firestone quoted it.
More recently, I brought my car in because Firestone made a mistake when replacing my spark plugs and wires. The wires were resting over the exhaust causing them to burn. When I came into the shop a mechanic greeted me and listened intently to what I was saying, asked important questions, and made me feel confident that my car was in good hands when I was leaving. Upon returning, the mechanic pulled my car around, popped the hood and explained to me exactly what happened and what they needed to do.
Jim Phibb's is an exceptional Auto Service Center.
