When my BMW transmission failed, I contacted BMW of Knoxville and the customer associate recommended that I call Calvin at Speedy Transmission. They custom rebuild transmissions so that you only pay for the parts you need rather than buying a complete transmission. I had the car flat-bedded 70 miles to the shop. Calvin provided great customer service, explaining in great detail what he found wrong with my transmission, how they would repair it, and what the cost would be. He kept me in the loop the whole time, updating me on the issues he found with the transmission. After driving on the rebuilt transmission for a couple thousand miles, my car developed a strange sound which I thought was the transmission. I took the car back in and Speedy Transmission checked the transmission. They found the problem to be my power steering pump and not the transmission. There was no charge for their work. Customer service and satisfaction is really important to Calvin and his team, , , and they do a great job providing it. I'd take any car to them for transmission work and recommend you do so as well.

My car wasn't going into first gear or reverse, so of course my first worry was "oh great, I need a new transmission!" which can be VERY costly.Calvin and the guys at Speedy Transmission got my car right in and did a free diagnosis. It turned out to be a problem with the hydraulic fluid leaking. Calvin got the parts and fixed the problem for a lot less than I thought it would be. I've been ripped off by mechanics before, so you can imagine how refreshing it was to find someone honest ! I would DEFINATELY recommend Speedy Transmission. Thanks for getting me up and running again....you guys rock!

Best Transmission center in town! I have never had such a wonderful experience with a mechanic's shop before. I had stopped in at Speedy Transmission's Center to get the free diagnostic (they not only diagnosed my transmission problems but also some electrical problems which I had been having). The exceptionally friendly service and willingness to explain the issues helped me realize that I had chosen the right place! Calvin, the manager, had spent a significant amount of time in the office and on the phone explaining to me what exactly I was needing replaced and the total costs. He printed out a diagram and even a detailed individual parts price sheet for me! Everything was priced so much cheaper than I would have ever expected! The vehicle was fixed within such a short amount of time and ran fantastic! Once I had completed paying my bill and gathering my paperwork (which they had organized and placed in a packet for me), I was greeting my vehicle at the front door with the heat and seat warmers already on (it was quite cold that day so it was very nice to jump into a warm car)! I have already recommended them to numerous relatives and friends! If you want fantastic customer service, great priced, honest answers, and trustworthy work completed on your vehicle, this is the place for you!

I had a feeling something was wrong with my transmission, and I was nervous because I knew it could potentially be a very large purchase. I have heard horror stories of mechanics not being honest, or charging too much for services. I took to the internet to read reviews and find the best place to have my transmission looked at. Speed Transmission has great online reviews. I called Speedy Transmission before I took my car there and a friendly woman answered the phone. She quickly and competently answered my questions about my transmission. She even asked me questions about the symptoms of my car, and told me that Speedy Transmission does free diagnostic checks. I made an appointment for first thing the following Monday. When I arrived, I was quickly greeted and took my seat in the waiting area. I was there only 20 minutes, when Calvin came back with the diagnosis. He sat down with me and explained what was going on with my car in a way that I could understand. He even showed me specific pictures and potential parts that I might need replaced. He was very up front with me and I felt comfortable handing over my keys and getting my transmission replaced. I was even given a loaner car to drive for the week for no charge. I just had to put the gas I used back in it. As estimated, it took four days to have my transmission replaced. Everyday, Calvin called with an update on what was happening with the vehicle. It made me feel at ease to have an update daily. I now have my car back and it is in GREAT condition. I no longer drive nervously, scared of my car breaking down at any moment. I would fully recommend Speedy Transmission to anyone. Calvin and the rest of the crew are amazing. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I spent over a month searching for a good place to service my transmission. Calvin at the rest of the crew at Speedy were prompt at answering my questions, setting up an appointment, and giving me a very reasonable price quote. Best of all, I didn't have to take time off work because they let me drop it off early (before 8am) and pick it up late (after 530pm). I highly recommend them to anyone.

Jeep dealership quoted me $1200+ for transmission work, but I knew that was too high for the simple fix that was required. I looked around and found Speedy Transmission had great reviews and now I know why! Calvin and his crew fixed my Jeep in less than one day and for less than half the price! I will be taking all of my family's vehicles to Calvin in the future. Very thankful for his honesty and integrity as well as his and his staff's skills and knowledge.

After being told by a national oil change franchise that I needed about $600 worth of work on my oil gaskets, I took my vehicle to Speedy Transmission and they did a free inspection. They took pictures of the problem, showed them to me, and even took me back so I could see the problem for myself. The problem ended up being a leaky O-Ring that was connected to a hydraulic tensioner. Calvin went out of his way to research the problem and when he realized his shop did not have the proper equipment, he sent me to another fair and honest person that could fix it. Calvin and the employees at Speedy Transmission are fair and honest. They will not sell you what you do not need. This is the only place I will take my vehicles from now on.

The Best Customer Service In Town. I was recently told I needed to have my transmission (as well as my coolant) flushed/changed after an oil change. I called seven different shops, including the dealer, for prices and each told me that it needed to be done and it would be $150+. However, when I called Speedy Transmission they immediately told me that they thought I might have a synthetic fluid in my transmission and that I didn't need to have it serviced at all (or at least not until 100k+ miles). The manager spent 7 1/2 minutes on the phone with me verifying his assumption and then explaining how my fluid would look different, how I didn't need the service, and how if I brought it by he would verify that was indeed the case and run a diagnostic on the transmission to check it AT NO CHARGE. It just so happens, that they were $30+ dollars cheaper on the coolant flush than any other shop as well. I was in and out within an hour. Simply put, they saved me a lot of money, were the only honest (and most knowledgeable) people I spoke with, and I couldn't be happier. The customer service there before and during my time in the shop is the best I have ever received at any automotive service center. I would highly recommend Speedy Transmission to all.

When my daughter's Toyota Camry decided to stop moving because of a defective transmission, I researched the internet for a local rapair faci;ity that was rated to be very good by its customers; Luckily, I found Speedy Transmission. Within an hour after contacting them, there was a tow tryck in my driveway to pickup the Toyota - at no cost to me. Speedy ran the diagnostics almost immediately and informed me of the results - again at no cost to me. Unfortunately, the transmission needed a tear down to reveal the internal problem. Calvin kept me informed during this eintire process up until the time I told him to proceed with a total rebuild. He then kept me informed on their progress as to when the car would be ready. The car was ready near his closing time on Friday. Since I could not get there in time to pick up the car, Calvin agreed to meet me the next day (Saturday) even though he was not open on the weekends. This all started on the previous Thursday, making this a very SPEEDY and well done repair. The price was reasonable and well explained too! Also came with a year's warranty! I highly recommend Speedy Transmission for your transmission and other automotive needs.

My wife's 2004 Mazda MPV needed transmission work this month. After researching repair centers, Speedy Transmission was the preferred choice. Calvin Esau kept me advised throughout the entire process and did not try to upsell me. He performed a free performance check and gave me a quote before starting any work. The vehicle was repaired at half the cost of other transmission centers. We had the car back in a few days. I and my wife are very pleased with the quality repairs, price, national warranty and great courtesy shown by the staff at Speedy Transmission. I have already recommended them to a friend.
