Tips for Emory Animal Hospital

August 13, 2012

My name is David and I manage Birchwood kennels, and I can say first hand that when it comes to meeting the needs of clients, the job gets done. Dr. Skelley and his staff are friendly, couteous, and very personable. Kim, is always quick to answer or get the answer you need, and you can tell shes cares about your animal needs and the care they desreve.

Example: We had a client boarding with us that needed a vacccination, and we gave them a call, and Chris came right over to complete it so the clients dog could board. chris was very prompt, courteous, and friendly.

To sum it all up, if your looking for a vet who will listen, and meet your needs, and staff that friendly and courtoues, then emory vet. is the right place for you.

Respectfully

David Boone

As a family with their fair-share of pets, Emory Animal is the only clinic I will visit! I have been to other animal hospitals, but none of them expressed the same compassion and true love for animals that Dr. Skelly and his staff offer. For over 7 years, Dr. Skelly and his staff have assisted my family and me in caring for our animals without judgment. They have offered helpful advice, support, and a sympathetic shoulder whenever needed. Best of all, my animals love the staff! If you trust Dr. Skelly and his staff with your pets, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I called several veterinarian offices before I spoke with Kim. I knew, as soon as she began talking to me, that I had found someone who actually cared.! I had reached cold, impatient and indifferent attitudes up to then and was thrilled that I finally got a friendly voice.! I was so happy when I took Hobo in for his first visit. I met Chris and Bridgette first (the vet techs). They treated Hobo as if he was the most important and special cat they'd ever seen. They were loving and gentle with him and patient with me, as well. (I'm a nervous cat mom so patience and understanding is a must with me). Dr. Skelley is very knowledgeable and calm and takes whatever amount of time is necessary. I now have a total of three dogs and three cats and I will never take any of them anywhere else. Everyone at Emory Animal Hospital is awesome.!

My family has used Emory Animal since the late 90's and they have always been great to us and our pets. They sent us flowers when my childhood pet died after a long and happy life. They are kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Inside review of Emory Animal Hospital. It is very different when you know somebody that works at a business, and you get to see things from 'behind the scenes'. I tried to contact the doctor and owner to resolve issues before hand but he never responded till this day. While my wife worked there who is now considered as a "disgruntled former employee" by the doctor and owner of the hospital. My wife was verbally harassed by her coworkers including the 'practice' manager there and then fired. I don't know how somebody could be happy about being fired or harassed, but I'm not a doctor... Everything that the clients see is fake; I have seen Chris go toward the back of the building a say that he wanted to bash the brains in on some of the client’s dogs. I have heard the staff poke fun of client’s lack of knowledge including dr skelly. Its very disappointing to me that things escaladed they way they did, and its more disturbing that dr skelly didn’t do anything about it.

Kind & Attentive Care. So far I have been very pleased with this hospital. Have not had to have any surgery or dental cleaning, etc. yet. Dr. Andrew Skelley and his assistants, Cris & Bridgette, are all very kind & attentive to my dogs. They spend time discussing your animal's health issues and consider your wishes. I am impressed with Bridgette's skill at drawing blood (have seen so-so to awful from others). Receptionist staff are also very helpful & friendly. Have received very good care for what I have needed so far. Doctor is more on conservative side - meaning not TOO aggressive. Only downside, one of highest priced clinics I have ever been to; however, if service continues to be this good, will tolerate the prices. Higher OR lower prices does not necessarily equate to good care.
