We've been taking our dogs to "camp" at Birchwood for almost 20 years. Our dogs drag us out of the car and into the building so we know they love it there! Rob's staff is great!

I have boarded with Birchwood Kennels for 25yrs. There is know way I can say enough good about Birchwood. The facilty is exstremly clean,all pets get great care and love. They have veternarians on call, there is someone on the property 24hrs. a day and 7 days a week. What more can anyone want for there pets? I have told Rob and David both, that when they have my babies, if they were to get ill, they have my permission to make all medical decisions in my behalf, and know one loves there babies more than I do. This is how much trust I have in Rob, David and the staff . Everyone's pet is #1 at Birchwood Kennels. If you truly love your pets, you need to visit Birchwood and see Rob,David and all the staff.

What a great place to board your dog(s)! An excellent staff - so friendly and organized and checking in and out is not a problem. The entire facility is so clean that there is no kennel odor. We made an appointment for grooming and it was a spa weekend for the dogs - they smelled great when we picked them up. Highly recommended!

We never had to board a pet before, so I was uneasy about leaving our Shih Tzu with just anyone. However, after a recommendation from a friend, we contacted Birchwood. I talked with Dave for some time on the phone. He recommended coming by for a visit and that sold us. Our baby has stayed there three times now. It means a lot when our little dog willingly goes to Dave and gives him kisses after not having seen him for a while. I highly recommended Birchwood whether you need a groomer, doggie daycamp, or a place to board your pet, cat or dog.

I have never boarded my dog before and was real nervous and scared to leave him, until I saw the facility. It is clean, friendly and I felt comfortable leaving my dog with them. They play music and do what ever necessary to make the animals comfortable and happy!!

I was certainly impressed with Birchwood Kennels. Not being from around here, I was desperately looking for a good quality kennel to board my two dogs with. After talking to David for about 30 minutes on the phone and asking him numerous questions, I made the trip down there for a visit. It was a clean, well-managed kennel with a wonderful staff. David spent over an hour showing me the facilty, answering my many questions and relieving any fears that I might have about boarding my dogs there in the future. So, when we did leave our dogs with them, I think I suffered more seperation anxiety about leaving them than my dogs did about being left there. HA! However, to help ease our minds, we were encouraged to call during our vacation to check up on them. Furthermore, when I went to pick them up ten days later, they looked well-rested, non-stressed and in wonderful condition. We will not hesitate to leave our dogs in their most capable hands for our next trip. Great job!!!!

After 5 years of being a dog owner and avoiding boarding my dogs, I finally started the search for a good kennel. My dogs are part of the family and as much as I wish I could take them everywhere with me, I can't. This being said, I took this boarding situation very seriously. I interviewed several facilities around town and was becoming very discouraged before a friend suggested Birchwood Kennels.

I was pleasantly surprised by Birchwood Kennels! The facility is clean (no odor or dinginess like I had seen at many other kennels), they play music throughout the kennels to help soothe the animals, the dogs have access to both the indoors and outdoors, and you can opt for extra playtime or walks!

The dogs started out with day boarding so that they could get used to being there, and we've worked up to an overnight stay. They just got home from their first night away from home, and they are doing great.

I've been really impressed by the manager, Dave, who has patiently answered all of my questions and phone calls. He is knowledgeable about the business and how to handle the animals. You can tell that he and the rest of the staff really care that the dogs are safe and comfortable.

I wouldn't trust just anyone with my dogs, and I'm thrilled to have found Birchwood!

I am a first time animal owner at 41 years old. I had no idea you could love a dog just like a child. My Cocoa is my baby and I had a very difficult time with the decision to leave her at a kennel when we took a trip recently. I was referred to Birchwood Kennels and I can't begin to tell you how pleased I am to have found them. The entire staff was wonderful and cared so much for Cocoa. I could tell how much each of them enjoyed being there within minutes of arriving. I cried when they took her from me, and they knew how uneasy it left me. I warned them of excessive calls they may receive from me, and I was assured that it was just fine to call and check on her whenever I felt like it. To my surprise, I only had to call twice because they let me know through pictures and videos that Cocoa was doing great and having so much fun. When I arrived to pick her up, she was soooo excited for about 15 seconds then she ran right back to the staff to play. This assured me of what I already knew from the tour and initial meeting-that Cocoa had been well taken care of! Please do not hesitate to call Birchwood Kennels and reserve a spot for your babies when you can't take them with you!

I pay a lot of attention to reviews and my opinion of a place is usually formed based on these written reviews/tips. Please read the reviews here carefully. There are many great reviews. Please notice that the only negative review has to do with money/payment and nothing to do with the care of the client's pet. All fees are posteed clearly by the check-in/out counter, and all charges are gone over before you drop off your baby. It makes me sad to read such a review when I know the love and care these people give to the pets in their care.
