We came to Knoxville in December of 2010, and I was lucky enough to find Birchwood Kennels right away. Dave and Rob are very caring toward our Golden, Katie. She is our senior baby and they are always careful to give extra attention due to her age. She definitely gets special treatment at all visits, and as far as I can tell, so do all the other dogs. I would definitely recommend Birchwood Kennels to all. They are very accomodating. Also, kennel is always clean and friendly.

When only the best will do, go to Birchwood Kennels!. This is the only place I take my pets. They are the best in the business. Not just a business but actual pet owners themselves. Always super friendly, excellent staff.

Wonderful staff, great location!. I've been using Birchwoods services for several yrs now. My dogs have always received the best of care and love the staff. I recently lost one of mine to cancer, but the other still goes for boarding and just recently we started play days for him. When he realizes where he's at, the tail starts going and he forgets his mom, he just can't wait to see his friends. They know him by name, he's not just another dog! That means alot to me.

Their rates are very reasonable too.

excellent place to board your dog. We boarded our little chihuahua, who is very nervous, at this kennel earlier this year and were very pleased with the kindness, attention, and animal-loving attitude. We have booked this kennel again based on our experience last time. I would recommend this kennel and its staff to any pet owner.

We LOVE Camp Birchwood!. I have been taking my dog to Camp Birchwood, as we call it, for a little over a year. To most people that may not seem like a long time, but we board at least every 1.5 months and sometimes more frequently than that. My dog, Izzie, LOVES this place. Every time we pull up, she starts wagging her tail and she can't wait to bust through the front door. I never have any doubts about the care she receives while we are gone. I know that I can call and check on her every day if I like and they will be able to tell me exactly how her day has gone. The kennels are very clean and the grounds available for play time and walks are beautiful. I toured about a dozen other kennels in our area before deciding to first use Birchwood. The one thing that stood out the most was the size of Birchwood. Other kennels seemed to have rows and rows of dogs, signifying to me that Izzie wouldn't get the personalized attention that I intend on her having. Birchwood is the perfect size for your dog to get plenty of loving while you are away. We couldn't be more pleased with Camp Birchwood. They are definitely Izzie's 2nd family!

BEST KENNEL IN GREATER KNOXVILLE AREA. My dog is a big baby and needs love and attention and to feel safe. At times I think she's afraid of her own shadow. When she has been stressed out its obvious. We have tried other kennels in the past before we found Birchwood Kennels in Powell. We will NEVER take our baby anywhere else again!!! They are SO good to her. They treat her like the princess she believes herself to be. She is a Saint Bernard and can tend to get in the way and overtake the place but they have always been so patient with her and so very kind to her and to our family.... even if we have "needed" to call from vacation to check on her to put our children's fears to rest. They are always so kind. They are a full service furry baby 5-start hotel. I wouldn't dream of taking her anywhere else- EVER! I would highly recommend Birchwood Kennels to anyone.

Knoxville's Best Kennel. I use Birchwood Kennels every time I need to board my 2 year old dog, Autumn. They are always the friendliest people to deal with and you can tell they really care about the animals in their care. The owner has award-winning show dogs and clearly knows how to take care of animals.

Animals have a large fenced-in outdoor area to play in and always seem to be well taken care of. Birchwood can count on my repeat business for both boarding and grooming!

Knoxvilles Best Dog Kennel Ever!. We have a Staffordshire Terrier Jack who is our family. We moved here 6 months ago from Rome, Ga where we were blessed to have found a wonderful kennel GA Dog Gym. We were very very skeptical when we moved here that we would get that lucky twice....well we got more than lucky, we are blessed to have found Birchwood Kennels in Powell. Dave and the staff have been nothing less than family since we have started taking Jack there and it has become a mutual love affair between Jack and them. Jack travels with me 98% of the time...he is my constant companion but on those occasions I can't take him I don't hesitate or worry the slightest by taking him to school (that what he knows it as) and he gets so excited when you tell him he's going. They even iced his leg down the last time (he favors his back leg sometimes)..Jack is a loving dog being taken care of by loving people at a very wonderful place. Its a shame they dont give you the option of 10 stars. Thanks Dave and the crew...You truly are the best!

I Wish I Lived Closer. I had the unique opportunity yesterday to spend some time at Birchwood Kennels. Being their AFLAC Lady, I was onsite for about 3 hours. Upon arriving, Dave was assisting 2 pet owners. He did an awesome job relaying info about their pet's stay. Phone calls were handled in the same manner. Very professional and made me feel sad I didn't live an hour away! With 5 dogs of our own, we sure could use their services. I also had the opportunity to meet with Rob, the owner. He is extremely knowledgable and caring. I would NOT hesitate to bring our 4 legged babies to Birchwood :o)
